After breakfast, head towards Polonnaruwa, the ancient medieval capital of Sri Lanka (about 1.5 hours from Sigiriya). Explore the Sacred Quadrangle, Gal Vihara (rock-carved Buddha statues), and the Royal Palace. Learn about the city’s history at the Polonnaruwa Archaeological Museum.Afternoon:
Drive to Habarana, about a 30-minute drive from Polonnaruwa.
